The Atlanta Hawks are signing shooting guard Gary Neal of the D-League’s Texas Legends to a 10-day contract, per a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Neal, 32, has played for six NBA teams, including San Antonio, Milwaukee, and most recently, Washington.
The Hawks traded Mo Williams to Denver to make room for Neal. They also received a trade exception for $2.2 million in the deal, the AJC reported.
Neal previously played for Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer when Budenholzer was an assistant with the Spurs.
Neal is 6-foot-4 and has played 350 NBA games, putting up 9.9 points for his career. He worked out for the Hawks last week, according to a post on his Facebook page.
