The Denver Nuggets are engaged in talks with shooting guard Malik Beasley on a contract extension, according to Mike Singer of the Denver Post.
Beasley is 6-foot-5 and was selected by the Nuggets with the No. 19 overall pick in 2016. He appeared in 81 games and averaged a career-high 11.2 points last season, an increase of more than eight points a game from 2017-18.
He also shot career-best 81 percent on free throws and 40 percent on 3-pointers.
Beasley is represented by agent Rich Paul and Klutch Sports.
Bobby Marks of ESPN reported last week that Beasley’s camp turned down a three-year extension offer worth $30 million.
