The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned second-year forward Damien Inglis to the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League, Bucks GM John Hammond said Sunday.
Inglis is averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in five games with the Bucks.
He was assigned to the Charge via the NBA’s flexible assignment rule — as the Bucks have no D-League affiliation of their own.
The Cavaliers are Canton’s parent club, making Inglis the first non-Cavs player assigned to the Charge.
Inglis will be available to make his D-League debut Wednesday, when the Charge (0-3) host the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
He was selected by the Bucks with the first pick of the second round (No. 31 overall) in the 2014 draft. He missed all of last season following ankle surgery.
