The Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks are considered potential suitors for free agent power forward/center Julius Randle, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Randle declined his player option with the New Orleans Pelicans a couple weeks ago to become an unrestricted free agent.
He is coming off an excellent season, his first with the Pelicans — who have a notable youth movement after drafting Zion Williamson and trading Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart.
Randle averaged 21.4 points and 8.7 rebounds this past season.
He would have made just more than $9 million in 2019-20 had he opted in. that said, the Pelicans will likely attempt to re-sign him to a larger deal, but others are certain to pursue him as well.
