Bulls’ Pondexter suffers strained hamstring

Quincy Pondexter has not played in an NBA game since 2014.

Chicago Bulls swingman Quincy Pondexter suffered a strained left hamstring at the end of Saturday’s practice, the team announced.

Pondexter was acquired by the Bulls in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans on September 1.

The 29-year-old veteran has not played the past two seasons because of knee injuries. He has one season remaining on his current contract worth $3.8 million.

Pondexter has career averages of 5.3 points in 279 games played.
