Rookie point guard Coby White has looked good during the first week of training camp and appears primed to earn some regular minutes, as relayed by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times.
“We’ve added ballers to this team,’’ Bulls coach Jim Boylen said. “Coby White, whether he’s a one, he’s a two, he’s a baller. … That’s what this roster is. We’ve got to do a good job using those guys and give them space and freedom to use what they have.’’
The Bulls finished with the league’s fourth-worst record last season at 22-60.
Along with White, they added veteran guard Tomas Satoransky and veteran forward Thaddeus Young and may be hoping to make a playoff push in the relatively wide-open Eastern Conference.
Much of that, of course, will depend on the health of shooting guard Zach LaVine, as well as the continued development of the likes of big men Lauri Markkenan and Wendell Carter Jr.
White is 6-foot-5 and was selected with the No. 7 overall pick.
