The Chicago Bulls are signing point guard Shaquille Harrison and waiving center Omer Asik, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Harrison played in 23 games (2 starts) for the Phoenix Suns last season, averaging 6.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 16.7 minutes, shooting 47.6 percent from the field, 23.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 73.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Harrison, 25, a Tulsa product, was waived by Phoenix on Oct. 15.
The Bulls need help in the backcourt after it was announced Saturday that third-year point guard Denzel Valentine will miss at least two weeks because of continued left-ankle problems.
