Carter-Williams signs 10-day contract with Magic

Guard Michael Carter-Williams has signed a 10-day deal with the Magic.

The Orlando Magic signed guard Michael Carter-Williams to a 10-day contract, the team announced Friday in a press release.

The 11th overall pick of ht e 2013 NBA draft out of Syracuse by the Philadelphia 76ers, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound Carter-Williams appeared in 16 games for the Houston Rockets this season, averaging 4.3 points and 1.3 assists in 9.1 minutes.

Carter-Williams, 27, was traded by Houston on Jan. 7 with cash considerations to the Chicago Bulls for a protected 2020 second-round draft pick and he was subsequently waived by Chicago.

Having played for Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Chicago, Charlotte and Houston, Carter-Williams has averaged 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 26.5 minutes in 303 career games (192 starts).
