Cavs agree to contracts with undrafted rookies Wade, Bolden

Kansas State forward Dean Wade averaged nearly 13 points and shot 38 percent on threes.

The Cavaliers have agreed to a two-way contract with Kansas State forward Dean Wade and a summer league contract with Duke center Marques Bolden.

Wade is a 6-foot-10 “stretch four” who was not selected in Thursday’s draft. He averaged 12.9 points and 6.2 rebounds this past season as a senior, shooting 38 percent on 3-pointers.

He was sidelined with a foot injury at the end of the season, but has since said he is healthy and ready to play.

Bolden is 6-11 and started a career-high 21 games, compiling averages of 5.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks alongside the likes of Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish.

The Cavs selected Vanderbilt point guard Darius Garland with the No. 5 overall pick, Belmont small forward Dylan Windler at No. 26 and USC shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr. at No. 30.
