The Cavaliers were expected to utilize the Canton Charge to help Larry Sanders get reacquainted to life in pro basketball, and hey, they are staying true to their word.
On Sunday, the Cavs sent their new 6-foot-11 center back to Canton, just a few days after recalling him. Sanders played briefly in the Cavs’ ugly loss to Washington on Saturday, compiling two minutes and zero stats.
Sanders has played in one game with the Charge, and his final numbers were so lousy it’s probably best not to keep repeating them.
The Charge have no regular-season home games remaining, but clinched a playoff berth for the sixth straight season over the weekend. They visit the Westchester (N.Y.) Knicks on Tuesday.
The Cavs are at San Antonio on Monday. (Preview)
