Cavs legend Mark Price: City, fans will bounce back

Mark Price made the All-Star team four times while with the Cavaliers.

Mark Price is remembered as one of the greatest, most-popular players in Cleveland Cavaliers history.

The former first-team All-NBA Cleveland point guard knows Cavaliers’ fans are hurting after LeBron James’ second departure from Cleveland, coming on a four-year, $154-million agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.

And Price, who made four All-Star teams during his playing days with the Cavaliers, has a heartfelt message for fans of the team for whom he starred:

  1. In between feelings on LeBron leaving …. Feel like he had the right to go where he chooses …… Feel like he always left the team and Northeast Ohio in the worst shape they could possibly be in when he did leave ……With him not having as much control in LA as he had here and new players not use to him controlling them like he did here I can foresee a lot of storm clouds in LA ahead ….. Now let’s fire Lue and get on with it…

  2. The greatest player of all time needed the respect of the team, city, and owners. If I was the owner, I would have given Lebron a chance to buy a portion of the team…hence justifying a reason to stay and build something. I wonder if that was ever offered. I do not blame him for leaving…perhaps one day with the money he has…he too can be an owner. Once again the fans get the short end of the stick.
