Moments before tipoff tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that Kevin Love has left hip soreness and won’t play.
Love warmed up before tonight’s game and experienced soreness. The Cavs’ medical team chose to hold him out and considers the move precautionary.
On the season, Love is averaging 19.2 points and 10.4 rebounds while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from three.
Rookie Ante Zizic started in Love’s place.
