CLEVELAND — Four weeks following knee surgery, Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love will start vs. the Utah Jazz on Thursday.
Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.
Cavs coach Tyronn Lue indicated Love will be on a minutes restriction, but did not specify how many minutes. Love may also sit out a game when the Cavs play on consecutive nights.
Love is 6-foot-10 and averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds. He was selected to the All-Star Game this season for the first time since coming to Cleveland in 2014.
Love, of course, had to miss the game after suffering the left knee injury Feb. 11. He underwent surgery three days later to remove “loose bodies.” At the time, he was expected to be out in the neighborhood of six weeks.
The Cavs (44-22) went 7-6 in Love’s absence.
Small forward Kyle Korver remains out with a sore foot. The Cavs do not consider the injury serious.
Forward Derrick Williams (right quad contusion) is also out.
