Cavs, Nuggets salute bonds in pregame

There were so many familiar faces for both teams, Tuesday night’s pregame was one big lovefest.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone spent five years in Cleveland as an assistant. There were pleasantries all around for him when Cleveland arrived at the arena. Timofey Mozgov, a former Nugget, got off the bus and went straight into the revamped Nuggets locker room to see it and talk with friends still on the team.

Mike Miller, a teammate of LeBron James’ in Miami and Cleveland, reminisced on old times with old friends too.

Then reality set in.

There was a game to be played. For Cleveland, it merely meant there was a game to be won.

And they won it, 93-87 at the Pepsi Center.
