Larry Sanders is the newest member of the Cavaliers, a big man they hope can soon help control the paint.
But so far, Sanders has been more valuable to the Canton Charge.
Both the Cavs and Sanders really want that to change by the time the playoffs arrive in a few weeks. Sanders proved as much on his Twitter account Wednesday:
I just wanna be there for the gang, they need me…

Sanders speaks the truth — as the Cavs have lost three of four heading into Thursday’s game at Chicago. A big reason has been their lack of defense.
The 6-foot-11 Sanders is expected to change that, at least to some extent, if and when he gets his timing back after being away from the NBA for two years.
Sanders hopes it’s sooner rather than later. So do the Cavs. They need him.
