Cavs, Sixers discussing Korver trade

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers have held discussions about a trade that would send Jerryd Bayless to Cleveland and Kyle Korver to Philadelphia, according to a report from Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Cavs have been looking to move Korver since the season ended. He’ll make $7.5 million next season and has $3.4 million guaranteed in 2019.

Korver averaged 9.2 points in 73 games this past season and shot 45.9 percent from the field and 43.6 percent on 3-pointers.

Bayless has one year left on his contract and is slated to make $8.6 million in 2018-19. The 29-year-old appeared in 39 games with the Sixers last season and averaged 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Korver began his NBA career with the Sixers. He played in Philly for five seasons.

  1. There’s nothing to gain be acquring Bayless. Cavs should easily be able to find a better return for Korver. Why jump the gun so quickly?

they better get a pick too

  4. Better be a first round pick coming with it.

  5. Cavs should ask for Rashaud Holmes back from Philly. Good shot blocker with developing offense when he received playing time. Still in his early 20’s. We don’t need Bayless.

  6. Makes no sense at all. More value in Korver than BellyNelly plus Korver cost less and the Cavs youngsters are learning about shooting the three. No sense in this at all.
