CANTON, Ohio – The Canton Charge got their shot at one of the D-League’s best, and ended up showing one thing: They still have some work to do after the new year.
Quinn Cook scored 22 points, including 18 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Charge fell to the visiting Sioux Falls Skyforce 99-94 on Tuesday.
Clippers assignee C.J.Wilcox tacked on 12 points, and Michael Stockton had 10 for the Charge (5-11) — who allowed their 60-49 lead in the third quarter to slip away.
The Central Division-leading Skyforce (12-3) were paced by 19 points from Heat assignee Jarnell Stokes. DeAndre Liggins added 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Canton returns to action Saturday at home vs. the Oklahoma City Blue. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
