Chicago to host 2020 NBA All-Star Game

Chicago will host the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, according to multiple reports.

All-Star weekend was last held in Chicago in 1988 when Michael Jordan was named MVP and also won the Slam Dunk Contest against Atlanta Hawks high-flyer Dominique Wilkins.

Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf has apparently had a change of heart, as back in 2012 he said the league would have to force him to host the festivities.

But as K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune writes, the Bulls’ relationship with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel got this deal done.
