The Los Angeles Clippers have waived forward Michael Beasley, the team announced in a press release.
Beasley, 30, was acquired in Thursday’s trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for center Mike Muscala. Center Ivica Zubac was also acquired by the Clippers in the deal
Beasley averaged 7.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 26 games with the Lakers this season. He was selected second overall by the Miami Heat in the 2008 draft and has spent his career bouncing around the league.
Beasley will enter free agency upon clearing waivers Monday. He cannot re-sign with the Lakers for one year.
