The NBA’s trade rumor hill is always hot and heavy when it comes to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
One Denver-area writer is proposing a big trade between the Cavaliers and the Nuggets, consisting of five players and a first-round draft choice changing hands.
Rafael Torres of Dig In Denver offers the following idea:
Nuggets Receive: Channing Frye, Jose Calderon, Iman Shumpert.
Cavaliers Receive: Wilson Chandler, Darrell Artur, 1st via Nuggets.
The Nuggets kill 3 birds with one stone here. They add a big who could play with Nikola Jokic and spread the floor, a defensive minded guard and a backup point guard. They lose their starting small forward which would warrant other moves, but Barton could fill that role for the time being. Richard Jefferson would also be reunited with Channing Frye and who wouldn’t be happy about that?
The Cavs would be lacking density in their skulls if they didn’t accept this trade. They’d trade 3 guys who they don’t need and would receive a versatile wing in Wilson Chandler plus a 1st round pick. Enough said.
The NBA’s trade deadline is Thursday.
