While the Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be at a crossroads, not just for the 2017-18 season but perhaps also for their future, Chris Paul sent a warning shot across the bow for everyone associated with the franchise.
One of LeBron James’ closest friends, the Houston Rockets guard cautioned against taking James for granted.
“You’ve got LeBron James over there in that locker room,” Paul told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst after he and his Houston teammates walloped the Cavaliers, 120-88, on Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena. “You know what I mean?
“What else the man need to do? Like, seriously? Obviously, I’m a little biased, but what else [does] he need to do? If y’all don’t believe in him, then y’all trippin’.
“Don’t take it for granted, man, don’t take it for granted.”
The Cavaliers (30-21), who stand third in the Eastern Conference standings behind Boston and Toronto and just a half-game ahead of Washington, visit the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
