A fourth member of the Virginia team that won the NCAA Tournament championship game has decided to test the waters of the NBA Draft.
Mamadi Diakite is entering the draft and hiring an agent, it was announced in a press release. He joins fellow Cavaliers De’Andre Hunter, Ty Jerome and Kyle Guy in declaring for the draft.
The 6-foot-9, 228 pound forward averaged 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game during the regular season. In the postseason, Diakite averaged 10.5 point, 8.2 boards and 2.3 blocked shots per game, including a career high five blocks in the national semifinal against Auburn.
