The Utah Jazz and free-agent big man Derrick Favors will meet Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, according to a report.
Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune reports the Jazz plan to have extensive discussions with Favors, which resides in the Atlanta area.
Favors, 26, averaged 15.8 points and 9.2 rebounds in 77 games for the Jazz last season.
Sean Deveney of The Sporting News reports the Jazz and Favors are confident a new deal will be worked out, though the Phoenix Suns are a team to watch, though the Suns need a point guard and is looking at Fred VanVleet of the Raptors.
Derrick Favors of the @utahjazz is expected to test the free-agent market, but both sides expect him to return to the Jazz, sources told Sporting News. If any team is willing to gamble on him, it could be the @Suns. But Phoenix is also looking at @Raptors PG Fred VanVleet.
