Former Los Angles Lakers point guard Tyler Ennis has signed a two-year deal with Fenerbahce, according to the EuroLeague’s official site.
In joining the Turkish squad, he will be a teammate of former Spurs big man Joffrey Lauvergne and follow the lead of younger brother, Dylan Ennis, who made his EuroLeague debut last season.
The 23-year-old Canadian averaged 4.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 12.6 minutes in 54 games (11 starts) for the Lakers last season. Ennis was waived by the Lakers in June before his $1.7 million contract for next season became guaranteed July 5.
The 6-foot-3, 194-pound guard shot 42.0 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
Ennis, a Syracuse product, was acquired from the Houston Rockets for veteran guard Marcelo Huertas on Feb. 23, 2017.
Before heading to Europe, Ennis appeared in 186 NBA games over the last four seasons, spending time with the Suns, Bucks, Rockets and Lakers.
