Former Spur Jackson: San Antonio ‘best’ place for LeBron

Former Spur Stephen Jackson says the best place for LeBron James to play next season is San Antonio.

First, a disclaimer. One of the eight teams Stephen Jackson played for during his 14-season NBA career was the San Antonio Spurs.

Jackson did two tours of duty with San Antonio, winning an NBA championship in 2002-03, his third season in the league.

So it comes as no surprise Jackson believes the next place LeBron James should play, should he decide to decline his $35.6 million player option and become a free agent this summer is…

You guessed it, San Antonio.

Appearing on FS1’s Speak For Yourself show, Jackson said he “definitely” sees James leaving Cleveland and calls San Antonio the “best spot” for him for the three-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Most Valuable Player.

  1. They’re all lining up now. Everyone is in the “LeBron James” line at the express lane of free agency.
