Free agent forward Wilson Chandler has agreed to a contract with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
The deal is for one year at the veteran’s minimum, Haynes reported.
Chandler, 32, finished this past season with the Los Angeles Clippers, appearing in 15 games. He spent 36 games with the Philadelphia 76ers before that, compiling averages of 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds.
As Haynes noted, Chandler could serve as a nice veteran complementary piece next to All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, while the team waits for Kevin Durant to debut following a rupture Achilles tendon.
Chandler can also help replace the losses of forwards DeMarre Carroll (San Antonio Spurs) and Jared Dudley (Los Angeles Lakers) in free agency.
