George committed to re-signing with Thunder?

Paul George signed a four-year contract to remain with the Thunder in July.

Another day, another new report about what Paul George plans to do this summer — this time from veteran NBA writer, Peter Vecsey.

In his latest Patreon column, Vecsey says George is “committed to re-signing with the Oklahoma City Thunder” in the offseason instead of bolting for his hometown Los Angeles Lakers, the move many have expected George to make.

George recently told ESPN that he’s developed a “brotherhood” with Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony and likes the direction the team is heading in.

The Thunder enter Saturday with a record of 31-25, good for sixth place in the rugged Western Conference.

Being here and playing alongside Russ, playing alongside Melo, I’ve built a real brotherhood with those guys,” George told ESPN. “If we’re here right now, then where can we be next year? Where can we be the year after that?”

George is averaging 22.2 points on the season, while shooting 44.6 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from 3.
