Gerald Green is returning to the Houston Rockets.
The team made the announcement in a press release Tuesday. The deal is for one year at the veteran minimum of $2.4 million.
In his second stint with his hometown Rockets, The 6-foot-7, 205-pound Green averaged 12.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 22.7 minutes in 41 games (2 starts) for Houston last season, shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from the 3-point line.
In addition to the two tenures with the Rockets, the 11-year veteran has played for the Boston Celtics (3 years), the Phoenix Suns (2 years) and spent one season each with The Miami Heat, the Indiana Pacers, the Dallas Mavericks, the New Jersey Nets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Green, 32, was the 18th overall selection of the 2005 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics out of Gulf Shores Academy in Houston.
