Grizzlies interview former Suns coach Kokoskov

Former Suns coach Igor Kokoskov has interviewed for the vacant Grizzlies job.

The Memphis Grizzlies have interviewed former Phoenix Suns coach Igor Kokoskov for their vacant head-coaching position, according to Tim Bontemps of ESPN.

Kokoskov lasted only one season in Phoenix and he was fired last month after the Suns finished 19-63 this season. Monty Williams was hired to succeed Kokoskov in Phoenix on May 3.

The Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves are the only teams in the NBA currently without a head coach.

Golden State Warriors assistant Jarron Collins, Utah Jazz assistant Alex Jensen and European coach Sarunas Jasikevicius have also been linked to the Grizzlies opening.

The Grizzlies fired J.B. Bickerstaff after this season. He was hired as associate head coach to new Cleveland Cavaliers coach John Beilein on Sunday.
