The Memphis Grizzlies have waived shooting guard Kobi Simmons, general manager Chris Wallace announced in a press release.
Simmons is 6-foot-5 and went undrafted out of Arizona in 2017, then signed a two-way contract with the Grizzlies before last season. The former McDonald’s All-American played just one year at Arizona.
He appeared in 32 games for the Grizzlies in 2017-18, compiling averages of 6.1 points and 2.1 assists.
Simmons started all 26 games in which he appeared for the Memphis Hustle of the G-League, averaging 15.1 points and 3.9 assists.
