Hawks’ Dedmon out 3-6 weeks with left tibia stress reaction

Dewayne Dedmon is in his first season with the Hawks.

Atlanta Hawks center Dewayne Dedmon is expected to miss three to six weeks due to a left tibia stress reaction, according to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.

Dedmon, a four-year player, is in his first season with the Hawks after spending last year with the San Antonio Spurs. The 7-footer is averaging 11.1 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 60.1 percent from the field.

Dedmon signed a two-year, $14 million free agent deal with Atlanta this offseason. He’s also made stops in Orlando, Golden State and Philadelphia.

The Hawks enter tonight with the second worst record in the Eastern Conference at 4-16.
