The Atlanta Hawks have signed free-agent forward Deyonta Davis to a 10-day contract, the team announced in a news release.
Davis is 6-foot-11 and spent last season before that with the Memphis Grizzlies. In a total of 98 NBA appearances overall, he compiled averages of 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds. He played in three playoff games during the 2016-17 season and shot a sizzling 61 percent from the floor last year.
This year, Davis has been playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League, compiling averages of 9.7 points and 7.5 boards.
He was selected with the No. 31 pick (or first pick of the second round) by the Boston Celtics in 2016, then immediately traded to Memphis.
He will wear No. 4 with the Hawks.
