The Atlanta Hawks have waived second-year guard Jaylen Morris, according to Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Playing on two 10-day contracts and then signing for the rest of the season in March, the 22-year-old shooting guard played in six games for Atlanta last season.
The 6-foot-5, 185-pound Morris averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.3 minutes in those six games.
Morris went undrafted out of Molloy (N.Y.) College, but made his way to the Erie BayHawks of the G League — where he averaged 12.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in 39 games.
His $1,378,242 salary for next season was non-guaranteed.
