Hornets hiring Iske to join Borrego’s staff

Chad Iske is headed to the Hornets as an assistant coach.

The  Charlotte Hornets are adding adding Chad Iske to join new head coach James Borrego’s staff, according to a report.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports Iske is being hired away from the Washington Wizards. He joins lead assistant Jay Triano, Jay Hernandez and Ronald Nored on Borrego’s staff.

Iske is the second assistant to depart Brooks’ staff in Washington. Sidney Lowe left to accept the lead assistant job on new coach Dwane Casey’s staff in Detroit.

He has been an assistant in the NBA since the 2007-08 season. Iske had previously worked as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets, where he worked with Brook, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Sacramento Kings.
