Jennings officially signs deal with Wizards

Brandon Jennings is back in the NBA.

As expected, point guard Brandon Jennings signed with Washington after clearing waivers Wednesday, the team announced.

Jennings was released by New York earlier in the week. He signed a $1.2 million contract for the rest of the season, according to ESPN.

Along with the Knicks, Jennings has spent time with Milwaukee, Detroit and Orlando.

Per ESPN: “Jennings, 27, will fill a dire need for the Wizards at the backup point guard position. Fourth-year point guard Trey Burke will eventually be demoted to third-string point guard.”

Forward Danuel House was waived to create room for Jennings.
