Free agent point guard Ty Lawson has found a home with the Sacramento Kings, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Lawson is a 5-foot-10 point guard and finished last season with the Pacers (13 games), after spending the first 53 games with the Rockets.
His career got off to a promising start with the Nuggets — but it eventually unraveled after a series of legal incidents. They included two arrests in six months on suspicion of DUI, as well as an arrest following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.
He lost his starting job with the Rockets before they eventually bought out his contract. Lawson averaged 5.4 points and 3.9 assists in a combined 66 games last season.
His contact with the Kings is for one year, according to Yahoo.
Lawson visited with Kings on Saturday, sources tell @TheVertical. New Orleans had shown serious interest too.
