The New York Knicks have signed free-agent guard Kadeem Allen to a contract, first reported by Michael Scotto of The Athletic and later confirmed by the team.

The 6-foot-3, 192-pound point guard was selected with the 53rd overall pick in the 2017 draft by the Celtics, spent his rookie season on a two-way contract with Celtics, but waived him earlier this month.
Allen, who played in only 18 games with the Celtics, had a solid showing for the G League Maine Red Claws. He averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.2 steals in 34 games.
The 25-year-old University of Arizona product was named to the NBAGL All-Defensive team.
