The sharps who set betting odds have established something that will put the NBA on tilt by the start of next season.
Kevin Durant will be joining LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers.
Online sports books BetDSI and BetOnline both have LeBron’s new team listed as their odds-on favorite to add Durant, who is headed toward free agency July 1.
BetDSI has the Lakers listed as +150 to add Durant, while BetOnline lists the team as 3-1 favorites to do so.
The two sites both list Durant’s current team, the Golden State Warriors, as the second-favorite to have Durant donning their colors for the 2019-20 season. The New York Knicks are between third and fourth to land Durant, while wagers can also be placed on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Durant has won two championship rings for the Warriors in the last two seasons, earning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player recognition in both seasons.
However, he and Golden State teammate Draymond Green had a nasty exchange earlier this week, which spilled into the Warriors’ postgame locker room and resulted in Green being suspended for one game without pay.
