Lakers’ Ball out one week with shoulder sprain

Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball suffered a left shoulder sprain Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers and will miss the next week, the team announced.

Ball underwent an MRI on his shoulder and the results showed a sprain. The No. 2 overall pick will be re-evaluated in one week.

On the season, Ball is averaging 10.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists while shooting 34.9 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from three.
