Cavs’ Sanders active, scores 10 in Charge loss

Larry Sanders played in his third game with the Canton Charge.

Cavaliers center Larry Sanders continued his quest to get back in NBA shape by coming off the bench for 10 points and nine rebounds, as the Canton Charge dropped a 94-83 decision to the host Grand Rapids Drive in Friday D-League action.

Sanders, expected to be recalled by the Cavs soon, also contributed three blocked shots in 25 minutes. He committed three fouls and two turnovers.

In three games with the Charge, the 6-foot-11 Sanders is averaging 6.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks.

Cavs camp invitee and veteran swingman John Holland led the playoff-bound Charge with a game-high 36 points.
