Lakers’ Nance Jr. cleared to practice

Larry Nance Jr., who wore No. 7 in LA and is wearing No. 24 with the Cavs, should switch to his dad's retired No. 22, according to none other than his dad.

Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. has been cleared to return to practice after suffering a fractured thumb on his left hand.

Nance Jr. underwent surgery on Nov. 3 and the Lakers said he would miss between four-to-six weeks.

Nance Jr., a high-flying third-year swingman out of Wyoming, is off to his best start as a pro this season, averaging 10.6 points and 7.5 rebounds.

The Lakers enter today with a record of 6-9.
