Mavericks waiving veteran big man Randolph

The Mavericks are parting ways with big man Zach Randolph after acquiring him in a trade with the Kings.

The Dallas Mavericks intend to waive veteran power forward Zach Randolph, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Randolph was acquired along with forward Justin Jackson in the Mavs’ trade with the Sacramento Kings centered on Harrison Barnes.

Randolph, 37, has yet to appear in a game this season. He has had an otherwise productive career and could potentially draw interest on the buyout market, though some around the league think he may be headed for retirement.
