Dallas Mavericks rookie point guard Dennis Smith Jr. will miss at least the next two games with a strained hip, according to Eddie Sefko of MavsBlog.com
Smith suffered the injury against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday and the soreness worsened on Thursday. He was walking with a noticeable limp on Friday at the Mavs’ morning shootaround.
Dennis Smith Jr. (Hip) will be out at least the next two games, per source.

Smith is averaging 14.4 points and 4.0 assists on the season while shooting 39.5 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from three.
The Mavs face the Bucks tonight and the Timberwolves on Sunday. Smith will be re-evaluated next week.
