The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors and Oklahoma City Thunder are the teams being considered by free-agent forward Markieff Morris, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
Morris, 29, was traded by the Washington Wizards to the New Orleans Pelicans last week. The Pelicans immediately waived him.
He has been sidelined since early January with upper back stiffness. Before that, Morris averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 34 games with the Wizards.
The Lakers are also considering free-agent forward Carmelo Anthony, according to Shelburne. But Anthony has not played since parting ways with the Houston Rockets in mid-November.
“As noted here before, LA has a preference for guys who’ve recently played,” Shelburne wrote.
Anthony averaged 13.4 points in 10 appearances with the Rockets.
