Bridges to meet with Cavs over weekend

Michigan State product Miles Bridges is expected to be drafted within the first 14 picks.

Former Michigan State forward and projected lottery pick Miles Bridges will meet with the Cleveland Cavaliers over the weekend, according to Chris Manning of Fear The Sword.

Bridges arrived in Cleveland on Friday and will meet with the team Saturday, Manning reported, citing a source.

The Cavaliers hold the eighth overall pick, and most mainstream mock drafts have Bridges falling somewhere in the No. 8-12 range.

Bridges is 6-foot-7 and entering the draft following his sophomore season with the Spartans, in which he averaged 17.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He displayed the athleticism to play small forward and the ruggedness to mix it up as a power forward.

Along with Bridges, the Cavaliers are said to have an interest in Alabama point guard Collin Sexton.
