Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry has been fined $50,000 for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of an official, the NBA announced Monday.
The incident took place during the Warriors’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend.
Also, the league announced that Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala has been fined $15,000 for verbally abusing a ref during the same incident.
Per Chris Haynes of ESPN, the NBA “couldn’t prove he aimed to hit official with mouthpiece, thus the maximum fine.”
Curry was ejected for the incident.
