Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris and Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic have been named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively.
Harris is a 6-foot-8 small forward. He averaged 21.7 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting nearly 64 percent from the floor in three wins. Overall, the Pistons (10-3) have won five straight.
“I’m honored to be named Eastern Conference Player of the Week, but this is truly a testament to how well we’ve been playing as a team,” Harris said. “My coaches and teammates put me in positions to succeed and this recognition is a result of the hard work we put in, as a group, during the offseason and training camp.”
Jokic is 6-10 and averaged 22.7 points, 13.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists, as the Nuggets also won all three games last week.
