Damian Lillard exploded for 32 points and sank the game-winning 3-pointer, and the Portland Trail Blazers escaped the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 113-110 on Thursday.
Lillard also finished with six rebounds and five assists, and went 14-of-14 on free throws.
Jusuf Nurkic added 28 points and CJ McCollum scored 22, as the Trail Blazers improved to 5-4.
Meanwhile, hyped Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball took two shots, missed both, and went scoreless in 28 minutes.
Brook Lopez scored 27 to lead the Lakers (3-5) and rookie Kyle Kuzma added 22. Rookie guard Josh Hart had 14 off the bench.

I’m still of the opinion Kyle Kuzma was the better pick of he and Lonzo. Lonzo has been over hyped far beyond his actual ability.
