Fast Breaks: Payne, Magic, McDaniels, Ware

Magic forward Adreian Payne has spent time both with the Timberwolves and in the G-League.

Here are the latest official signings from around the world of pro hoops:

1. Free agent forward Adreian Payne (Minnesota) has officially signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic. A two-way deal means Payne will get a real opportunity with the Magic, but is likely to primarily play in the G-League.

2. The Magic also named Adetunji Adedipe has been named the team’s basketball operations/Lakeland Magic assistant general manager, per president Jeff Weltman. Adedipe is in his third season with the Magic.

3. Free agent swingman K.J. McDaniels has officially signed with the Toronto Raptors. He split last season between Houston and Brooklyn, averaging 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 49 total games.

4. Former NBA and G-League guard Jerel McNeal has signed to play with Strasbourg of Germany. McNeal, 30, has spent time with Phoenix, Toronto and Utah.

5. Former NBA point guard Casper Ware has agreed to a contract with Melbourne United of Australia. Ware, 27, has played for Washington, Brooklyn and Philadelphia.

6. Undrafted center Ryan Smith (Tulane) has agreed to a contract with Italian club MIA-RO Cantu.

7. Free agent center Jeff Withey has officially signed with the Dallas Mavericks, per the team. Withey spent each of the past two seasons with the Utah Jazz.
