Pelicans’ Davis day-to-day following MRI

Pelicans forward Anthony Davis is expected to return to action soon.

New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis is day-to-day after after results from an MRI on his injured groin revealed no structural damage, according to a release from the team.

According to the release:

“Davis has been diagnosed with a left adductor strain. An MRI and further examination revealed no structural damage. Davis will miss tonight’s game against the Warriors and is listed as day-to-day going forward.”

Davis suffered the injury in Friday’s game against the Utah Jazz. The 6-foot-11 power forward is averaging 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds in 21 games.
